Biography

I got a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Plant and Microbial Biotechnology. I first joined the PlantLab during my Master’s thesis, where I developed a strong interest in plant molecular biology and oxygen signaling. After graduation, I was awarded a four‑month research fellowship from the University of Pisa, which I carried out at the PlantLab, further consolidating my expertise in experimental research. In October 2023, I began my PhD in Agrobiosciences at the PlantLab.

Research

My doctoral project focuses on identifying new substrates of the oxygen signaling pathway in plants. To achieve this, I use a synthetic biology approach that allows me to replicate the pathway in yeast and rapidly screen candidate proteins. Through this work, I aim to contribute to a deeper understanding of oxygen regulation in plants and to expand the toolkit for studying complex signaling networks.
